DIREKTION Webinar - Ensuring Connectivity in Crisis: Resilient Communications for Responders

This webinar is organised by the DIREKTION project with the support of the CMINE DRS Stakeholder Hub.

Overview

Reliable communication is a critical enabler for effective emergency response, yet communication systems are often among the first capabilities to be disrupted during crises. Natural disasters, industrial accidents, cyber incidents, or infrastructure failures can severely degrade connectivity, hindering coordination between responders and decision-makers.

This webinar will explore how resilient communication systems can support emergency response operations in degraded, disrupted, or denied environments. It will examine how deployable, hybrid, and interoperable communication solutions can ensure continuity of information exchange, situational awareness, and multi-agency coordination during emergencies.

The session will bring together emergency responders, technology providers, and experts to share operational experiences, lessons learned, and future directions for strengthening communication resilience in disaster response.
